The completion of the Human Genome Project and subsequent advancements in scientific understanding and research tools started the ball rolling for drug discovery and development in the new "genomic era," an era with the potential to transform the future of medical care. Dr. Eric Schadt of Rosetta/Merck and Dr. Jerry Radich of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center will present. Discussants will be Dr. Lee Hood of the Institute for Systems Biology and Dr. Marshall Horwitz of UW Medicine.
