Sales Tax Exemption ModelThe Sales Tax Exemption Model is a software tool to assist companies analyze the impact of the Sales Tax Exemption for High Technology R&D/Manufacturing enacted into law by the Washington State Legislature in 1994 (Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5201, now enacted as Revised Code of Washington 82.63). The model was developed by Brett Gaspers from Objective Insights in cooperation with the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association, the Washington State Department of Revenue, Erik Laursen and Phil Ness at Info.Resource, Inc. The Tax Model is in Microsoft Excel file format and requires Microsoft Excel (version 5, 7, or Excel 97).
