Introduction

WA BioEvolution Poster/Brochure

The Washington Biotechnology & Medical Technology Annual Report is published by Info.Resource, Inc. in collaboration with the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association (WBBA).

Info.Resource is the owner and publisher of WaBio.com -- part of a network of biotechnology, medical device, life science and pharmaceutical "trade association/state" based web sites that represent more than 3,000 biotechnology and medical device companies, non-profit research institutions, universities and supporting service sector companies across the United States. (See WA BioEvolutionTM -- a genealogy chart -- illustrates the "technology origins" of the nearly 250 biotechnology and medical device firms and non-profit research organizations that comprise Washington State’s industry.)

The purpose of the Report is to provide benchmark data on industry growth trends and barriers that stand in the path of growth for use by public policy makers, institutions of higher education, economic development professionals, media, and others in the state of Washington. The Report is based on a comprehensive industry survey, historical data from previous annual surveys, and data routinely compiled in the daily operation of WaBio.com.

If you have questions, suggestions or comments about the Annual Report,
